Southampton intrested in west brom midfielder keith andrews. but may have to wait for a new manager to be appointed before making a move

If this is true I would like to try and do the deal with the chairman before a new manager is in place but I wouldn't want him personally!

Since he only just joined West Brom I really doubt it

A good young goal keeper why dont we try and sign de vries or hennesey from wolves, and roger johnson while we're at it!

My god, please don't let us get hennessey. He's one of the worst keepers I've ever seen.

Think barnetta is out of contract and adkins likes getting players like him who work hard and who are not on the public rumour list = e.g = hoivelt fox falque we got them unexepectantly

Chris HUMPHREY has attracted the interest of Southampton Football Club, and Saints would be keen to strenghthen the right hand side, with what would be a good move, should Saints manage to broker a deal for his release. Jamaican international Winger, said to the the quickest winger in Britain.

....I think I can safely say we are going to sign better than people from the SPL

To the person above whom is saying we will sign better players than SPL fodder. If nikica jelavic at Everton is anything to go buy, that's the player with 9 goals in 12 games. I say Adkins knows far better than you do and I do, so I suggest you go back to arm chair as we don't need supporters you like you!

Realistic Southampton transfers
Jay Rodriguez
Peter Whittingham
Matty Phillips or Tom Ince (depending on playoff outcome)
Nathan Redmond (IF Blackpool are promoted)
Charles Mulgrew
Curtis Davies
Jay rod is Nigel's no.1 striker target and has been ever since last summer, because this broke down we then went for hooper which also didn't come off. If the Kay rod transfer doesn't come off we will not go back in for hopper but look elsewhere.
Whittingham is the ideal playmaker saints have been looking for to play in the middle of the park for some
Creativity also keeping lallana on the wing where he is deadly
Then the other three Redmond, Ince and Phillips. The latter being the number one target to add that pace down te right hand flank where we have no out and out winger and is a key area Adkins seeks to bolster.
Centre back is also a key area to strengthen with premier league experience there are no known key targets for this position but Davies and Mulgrew have been touted this will more likely be a shock signing from under the radar which no one would of guessed but Davies is said to be a top target
The other position is possibly the left and right back adding a bit of pace but I don't belive this will be added to unless Harding or butterflied leave and out of them two Harding is the more likely meaning a left back more likely
Also a young goalkeeper is a possibility
But I would no expect that many changes at the max 6 additions but that would all depend on how many leave.
Saints fans be aware that we have a very good balanced team who play for each other drastic changes would upset this team bond which has been instrumental to are success I wouldn't expect to many changes just some quality additions and due to the restrictions a few players leaving
Clarkey saint

Once again, a supporter who has watched the matches this season and has picked out the players in the Championship who he rates.
I think Saints net will spread a lot wider, and so it should. There are few teams in the Championship who play the way that Saints have mapped out, so whilst I feel we could see up to 5 new faces, I would be surprised if there are more than 2 from the Championship.
As for Whittingham, I would have concerns whether he has a strong enough "engine" to play the central midfield role in a Saints side.

Seydou Doumbia to sign as soon as the transfer window is open, and also Keisuke Honda (to form a japan partnership with tadanari lee) to come to southampton.
both of these are not likely but one of them will be coming to southampton {Ed037's Note - Doumbia will be on top wages}
