Ed - i'm hearing from inside the Celtic camp today that SFC have made an improved offer of around 8.5m {Ed007's Note - There is a rumour around Glasgow that a deal will be announced later in the week. I think it is just a rumour though, I don't know if any concrete bid has been placed, McCourt has said he wants to stay in Glasgow for another year.}

The Hooper rumour is BS!
Celtic have started negotiations with Hooper over a new contract - all over scottish press today.
Hooper is paid a lot less than other big names at Celtic and wants an improved offer to bring him in line with others at the club.
I suspect his agent is making mischief in order to strengthen his hand!

17 for Blackburn that's good it's hard to get one goal for a team that bad

Not keen on a overrated ex skate any more news on Hooper ed? {Ed014's Note - The club is aware that Hooper want to leave. So far Southampton, Reading and Galatasaray are showing real interest, reports that Everton are also interested seem wide of the mark.}

Ed- i thought hooper said he wanted to stay with celtic , or have i missed something {Ed001's Note - he did say it initially, but then, in the last week or so, his rep has been contacting clubs who have shown interest. Apparently it is about getting himself in England contention, he wants to be considered and knows he won't be considered while playing in Scotland. I have no idea if Southampton will bid, but they certainly contacted Celtic to ask the question of price.}

Yakubu has scored in 40% of his matches since 2003 and 17 goals for a terrible Blackburn side. I'd hardly call that rubbish.

How old is the yak? I didn't think he was that past it. Not sure he'd go down that well with the fans mind.

Hes only 29

17 goals in a poor Blackburn side, that's hardly bad?
What are you expecting Messi & RVP to make way instead?
Back to the Yak, he's proven, strong, quick and has shown he can score goals - just what Saints need to top off the attack with Lambert & Sharp.

I dont careif he is fat and slow he can bang in goals fed the yak and he will score. jermain defoe would be a signing

Don't want an ex skate. Fat lazy muppet. Lambert is far better. Just want a REAL pacey sharp shooter to partner. Defoe would be great, but dream on I think. I think European punt.
