southampton met with damaio's agent today and are in negotiaitions now come on NC and MP splash the cash! COYR

source:sky italy

Believable13 Unbelievable2

Dimarzio ( the chief sky italia reporter) says that a deal was close, but it Damiao's agent has put it on hold as Napoli are trying to hijack the deal.

Agree4 Disagree3

The only things I can find about damiao and Napoli are a few months ago. One thing that does keep coming up is his want for champions league football

Agree2 Disagree3

Napoli only want damiao if they can't get dzeko or gomez

Agree0 Disagree0

His agent apparently said that the fact Spurs didn't have CL football didn't take them out of the running; so not sure that's an issue anymore. Napoli seem to have come into the picture over the last couple of days.

Agree3 Disagree0

Curse you Napoli!

Let's all enjoy the fact that we are battling against Spurs for a major transfer target rather than watching them and others take our best talent for relative peanuts compared to their current values. Times are changing and our great club is on the up. COYR!

Believable12 Unbelievable2

It's fantastic that we are bidding for them but I want us to actually get some of them. please.

Agree4 Disagree2

As much as it would be nice to get these rumored signings do we really need them?, I do not want to see the young English talent at the club sidelined because of it.

Agree4 Disagree5

"Let's all enjoy the fact that we are battling against Spurs for a major transfer target rather than watching them and others take our best talent for relative peanuts compared to their current values. Times are changing and our great club is on the up. COYR!"

Two disagrees on a comment like that, on a Saints thread? It is either skates, or fans of the top 4 or 5 teams who are scared of the status quo being broken! COYR!

Agree5 Disagree4

^ are you crazy? I think you need to read that post again. Very positive saint and I agree entirely as do a few others.

Ssn says that wanyama could possibly be announced as a Cardiff or saints player tonight!
If the other roumour is true about Cardiff pulling out, then surely he's ours.

Believable9 Unbelievable9

You can disagree all you want. Just repeating what's on ssn.

Agree5 Disagree6

No they dont

Agree1 Disagree5

Wanyama Has started pre season training with Celtic today in Austria.

Agree2 Disagree2

Genuinely no disrespect meant to Cardiff here, but if it was (of which I doubt) between the two clubs. Why would he go there over us? I am genuinely interested

Agree8 Disagree1

Haven't see that on ssn

Agree3 Disagree4

Link plz? :)

Agree2 Disagree3

Was on the regional news bit

Agree5 Disagree2

I've been watching tv and I haven't seen it on there. All about the rugby and Man U lol
Isn't he abroad training

Agree4 Disagree4

It does. but it's in the regional newspaper talk section.
mssaint

Agree5 Disagree0

It's on the android app version of tv in the evening paper talk section. They were quoting a headline from the evening times in Scotland

Agree4 Disagree0

Its on sky sports news text and has been all day

Agree7 Disagree1

Well it never happened - again. Remember there's lies, damn lies and newspaper reports.

Agree1 Disagree0

More like lies, damn lies and people making up rubbish for rumour websites

Agree0 Disagree0

It wasn't made up by anyone on here. It was actually in the public domain! Unless tv is now making up lies.

Southampton do their business behind closed doors. I believe non of the above will come unless they show that they WANT to be here. Poch is throwing you all off the scent and he will unveil a couple of new signing next week!

Believable7 Unbelievable4

You have contradicted yourself by saying everything is done behind closed doors so how do you know about signings next week?

Agree12 Disagree1

What about all the ones below?

According to reports this morning, Cardiff have pulled out of the race for Victor Wanyama as they feel they can't afford to go up to the £12million asking price, this leaves Southampton as the lead runners for the midfielders signature with talks supposedly re opening tomorrow between the club, Wanyama and his father who will be supporting him instead of his recently sacked agent. This means Wanyama will be leaving the Celtic camp a bit early to go to St Mary's and Staplewood for a meeting with Cortese hopefully ending with us getting his signature.

COYR

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Fair play if he actually has sacked his agent, thought that was just made up rumours though. Wanyama and Schneiderlin in holding midfield will be unstoppable COYR!

Agree5 Disagree1

He has just flown out to Germany, and our transfer team were in Barcelona at the wyscout conference. More likely we are meeting him in a nice hotel in Switzerland or something. We shall see.

Also, saints had chats with Banega and Damio's agents in Barcelona, others as well.

Lost,

Agree6 Disagree2

Good on Cardiff if they have pulled out, overpriced, leave him for some other person to pay to much in fees and wages

Agree2 Disagree6

Schneiderlin going to A Madrid

Agree0 Disagree14

Spider is going nowhere and wanyama wanted around 22k per week which is about the same as lallana and Lambert earn per week, not really too much

Agree5 Disagree4

Lambert and Lallana were on around 35k a week and that was before they signed new deals. likely they are on 45-50k now

Agree1 Disagree7

How does anyone know how much there on, the only fact that came out was they had clause in contract which meant they were highest earners so when gaston signed there wage went up and matched his

Agree1 Disagree1

Read Morgan's interview on the os, he loves the club and isn't going anywhere, please stop with the false rumours Mr league two up there

Agree3 Disagree1

I heard that lallanna and lambert have a clause in their contract stating they have to earn as much as the top earners I would imagine this is what constantly holds up transfer negotiations as in order to attract top players there are also an extra two players having their wages boosted too
