Wow how bad where we the players should not get paid I get we started with 9 changes and the league is more important but surely giving the players we brought in January a run out would have mad more sense don't get me wrong the ref was not good how many fouls without a booking the second penalty was a foul on the saints player before

The first half was possibly one of the worst performances I have ever seen from Saints. Djenepo and Diallo were absolutely awful and contributed nothing; Djenepo spent the whole half in no man’s land . neither attacking or defending, tackling.
We were disjointed, poor with the ball and without The ball. Terrible passing, terrible tactics. very little movement off the ball.
I was disappointed with Newcastle but when the had the ball, they attacked at speed and with purpose.
Second half we were better, but still disjointed with poor movement.
An opportunity to get to the Wembley and we were atrocious.

We just don’t look comfortable on the ball - first touch is awkward and slow and second touch not great either. Decision making in final third is woeful and how many times did we give the ball away needlessly.
The defining moment for me - Che Adams powder puff attempt on goal when clean through… abysmal. Just imagining how Rashford (amongst others) would have buried that.
As has been said many times, our attacking force is championship standard at best (and yes I know Mara and Endozie are young with bright futures but that is no help now in the survival battle).
I do not have a clue what our strongest team is - all we seem to do is bring in more of the same.
I’ve swerved the Jones debate as I was one of his detractors but I honestly fail to see how he is going to turn things round - I just hope “that week” wasn’t another false dawn.

Joe needs to be benched so many passes going backwards sideways also slows the play down all I can think is the players have downed tools and there is a bigger problem in the dressing room than we know about
