How many times has pelle hit the post and bar this season, burnley home man u away and newcastle away recently spring to mind but I'm sure there are quite a few more, must be so frustrating!

I know right. Stats say that he's hit the post more times than any other premier league player this season.

I'm secretly hoping that he bags one or two goals with Italy during the break. It isn't that unlikely and I think that the way Antonio Conte sets up his teams will suit Pellè.

Sometimes just one goal is enough to transform a player and I think we all agree he really needs it.

I'm not 100% sure but 7-9 times, probably 8.

Although I think forster is getting more confident, played well against everton I still think we need competition, think wayne hennesey who can't get a game for palace would be a good aquasition

really ? hennesey. could do a lot better than him.
saw him play few times last season for yeovil . he's a good keeper but not premiership standard

2.) 26 Dec 2014 21:17:46
Yes really, did you see him for wales against belgium, keeping a clean sheet and playing well under pressure, a good challenger for a first team spot and only 27, who would you go for?

Everytime I go on this site I have let known my reservations about forster and have hoped to be wrong but i see no reason to change my concerns, boruc won games for saints last season but koeman has stated he is unlikely to return, davis is sadly past it so it stands to reason we need someone else, how about wayne hennessey from crystal palace, can't get in the first team but watched him for wales against belgium and was brilliant under pressure, just a thought!

elmo

1.) He's hardly at fault for today's goal, his weight was on the other foot when the deflection occurred so it was very unlikely he'd still be able to make contact with the ball. Today's loss will do no good for his confidence mind you. All we can hope is that the team is fired up to try and get into the semi final of the league cup on Tuesday.

just hope boruc stays, I have said before on this site that replacing boruc with forster would be a bad mistake, sign forster by all means, better still marshall but not as a replacement. boruc has premiership experience and is a class keeper who wins games, why are we and nobody else interested in forster?

Can someone explain why the club is in debt, I hear its something to do with transfers, my point is we have not been extravigant with transfers in the last few seasons, indeed a large percentage of our team compared with other teams in the premiership cost nothing or very little in todays market, I thought we had rich owners with money to invest so where did it all go wrong?
another point I think we are going to see just how good a manager rk is!

elmo

1.) Elmo I get your point but the simple answer is Marcus Leibherr died and the extra funding to cover shortfalls stopped. I believe that to be true but I am not a boardroom member. So just my opinion.

Boruc is by far a better keeper than forster, yes we need a better no2 to boruc but to spend 10 m when when our priority is a cb, part of that 10m could have been spent on upping the bid for rogo-boruc instils confidence in the defence forster lacks this at the moment, please keep boruc as no1 or I fear for us this season!

Boruc should still be number1, forster has very little experience in top flight, big big mistake if boruc leaves, why do people suggest 34 is to old for a keeper, he is in his prime!

I think davis makes saints tick, always enjoy watching him play, I think rk thinks so to always in the starting line up wnen fit and always give 100% unsung hero!

I have said many times on this site don't let boruc go, forster has yet to prove himself, the rest of the defence has been much improved so he hasn't had much to do, bournemouth can't stop winning since boruc moved, not a coincidence, boruc says and does mad things but instills confidence and wins matches, and to quote jack cork after the wba game last season he is a great player

Boruc is a much better keeper than forster, but forster is a better back up than what we have although I wood prefer marshall who has shown he can win games in the prem as has boruc, forster is untried in the prem, being englands no 3 means nothing.
