According to Oddschanger on Twitter and a Dutch uk/ ireland journo, Koemans agent is on his way to Liverpool to hold talks with Everton. I really hope to god this isn't true!

Eds is there an truth in this at all? Can you find out for us? What's the likely hood of Koeman at least seeing his final year out with us. He did give us his word he would honour his existing contract and would see what our ambition was to see if he would extend it.

{Ed001's Note - you do realise Koeman and Frank De Boer are represented by the same agency right?}

2.) 02 Jun 2016 16:54:27
Have to say looking more likely with every minute. Apparently looking at houses up there. If he does go who can we get. Not much quality out there. Pellagrini?

3.) 02 Jun 2016 17:10:05
I think Ed just answered this. Its Frank De Boer not Koeman!

4.) 02 Jun 2016 17:57:19
All right don! Ed posted after me!

5.) 02 Jun 2016 18:26:23
Hopfully we can sign Sam allardyce!

6.) 02 Jun 2016 18:46:49
All this talk about RK going to Everton is probably nothing . I am not sure how this all works but why can't somebody from the club or RK himself come forward and say that he is definitely going to see out his contract . Doesn't seem like rocket science to me and would put everybody else's blood pressure back on track . Big trouble is these agents are ruthless salesmen and would stab their own granny in the back to make a financial killing for themselves. RK seems a very honest and honourable man and I trust his word, just wish he would come forward and confirm what he has said all last season when asked questions about his future plans .

7.) 02 Jun 2016 19:53:23
This would be a really good start to our transfer campaign lol.

8.) 02 Jun 2016 20:25:00
If it is true and I do state IF RK is a fool it's a completely sideways move. He can only go as far with Everton as with us they will never reach the highs of top 4 and neither will we.

9.) 02 Jun 2016 23:56:55
Just a thought, what if the owner and the board have said there is no money available to push us onwards . We are not a club that produces money from the petty cash tin like these billionaires that just do it as a hobby . Having said that I feel that RK being an honourable man would see that as more of an incentive to push on with SFC and show that mega money doesn't always mean success. I see in the betting that they don't show odds of RK staying with us . Something very fishy about all of this and I expect money is involved .

10.) 02 Jun 2016 23:25:54
Didn't he change agents a couple of weeks ago (rob Jansen)?

{Ed001's Note - ah maybe thinking about it. I will have to check.}

11.) 03 Jun 2016 10:20:09
He did change agents I'm afraid.

12.) 03 Jun 2016 10:28:11
So which agent was it? His old one who also looks after de boer? Or his new one?

13.) 03 Jun 2016 11:08:22
Koemans new agent.

Jack cork to palace. A fee if 3m apparently agreed. This according to the daily mail. Gutted if true

Saint2hotty

1.) How can we afford to lose a player like Corky! With Schneiderling unsettled and still likely to leave, surely we will need Jack. He always gives 100%, wins us the ball and gets things moving. I don't want us to have a team full of players who do not know the premier league

2.) 14 Aug 2014 05:37:57
Absolute disaster to lose Cork. Pay him the money he wants. He deserves it after the way he was treated by the Pooch. No disrespect to Palace but he is a much better player than that. He will be worth a big fee in a years time. What on earth is going on at st Mary's?

Pochettino deal is almost finalised. 3 Year contract with an option for a further year. He will be bringing 4 of his backroom staff. Just the matter of compensation with Saints to agree. Its a sad day for Southampton, all we can hope for now is that the board show real intent with their next manager. I believe certain players will stay if the right man is appointed. Don't forget the players all said how fond they were of Adkins before he left, it doesn't mean mass exodus

Saint2hotty

1.) 27 May 2014 09:21:07
I have an awful feeling that our next manager will be one who needs a job Houghton, Lennon, Holloway ect and not someone who has been hand picked for the job. I also suspect after the 'exodus' they won't be putting much if any money into the team. I hope I'm wrong but we are Southampton and history suggests storm clouds are never far away.

2.) 27 May 2014 09:33:39
I totally agree - It does look like it's happening, and it will be gutting as he really seemed like the man to take us forward. But Saint2hotty is right, Managers come and go (I think Lallana has played under 10!) so it doesn't mean all players will look to jump ship. Heard some interesting names mentioned. Steve MacLaren, Neil Lennon, Gus Poyet and Michael Laudrup. Not sure if I fancy any of these, but hopefully the Board will snare an unknown star of the future! :-)

3.) 27 May 2014 09:39:36
The only realistic option that would excite me is Michael Laudrup. Neil Lennon would be an unmeasurable disaster. If we make the wrong decision on this appointment we will be in real trouble.

4.) 27 May 2014 09:50:42
I agree totally with BenalisTache! It has to be Laudrup. We will play an attractive style of football that will excite the fans. He is a high profile individual, that has been there, seen it and done it during his playing career. He will also attract players to the club.

{Ed005's Note - Another Editor mentioned that Dan Petrescu should not be ignored.}

5.) Hi ED is yakin and de boer possibilities? Does it look like mp will go

{Ed005's Note - I can't help you there mate.}

6.) 27 May 2014 10:40:55
murat yakin the old basel manager who's just left would be a good appointment played attractive football and young boss good replacement if mopo leaves

7.) 27 May 2014 10:57:05
Laudrup would seem to be the best fit to carry on with a similar style of football and I could see him attracting some top players. Maclaren has really put in some good work both here and abroad since the dark old England days so think he would bring some good ideas and a decnet style of play with him as well as a good knowledge of hidden gems in Holland and Germany (stretching the wishful thinkinig here but its time to be positve).

MP has done a great job and the players clearly love him but the same tools will be available to the next manager as well. The acadamy will still be there, the training ground upgrade project will be completed etc etc so I really do think we can attract a top manager. Potential candidates will see what our club has done for MP's standing in the English game and think "what a great club, maybe I can enjoy the same level of success as well, maybe I can develop the fantastic talent coming through the academy and make a name for myself"?

Managers may use us as a spring board but as long as the heart of the club stays in tact then there is no reason we can't bring in the right "department heads" to run the first team and acheive success.

8.) Hi ED is mp close to signing for spurs? Is yakin a possibility.? Any transfer rumours inwards? Thanks ED

{Ed005's Note - Sorry mate but I can't help at all.}

9.) 27 May 2014 14:13:23
Can someone tell me about Dan Petrescu? Is he a MoPo kind of manager I.e high pressing possession football and young exciting players? Is he good enough to improve the team enough to take us up the table?

10.) K ED can't you ask another ED on the situation with poch and transfers and if poch goes is yakin a possibility?

{Ed005's Note - Ed2 is not going to answer any more Southampton questions mate.}

A lot of rumours flying around on twitter tonight that talks with Koeman have broken down and saints are seeking an alternative

Saint2hotty

1.) 10 Jun 2014 07:30:52
Hope that isn't true

2.) Had a look and couldn't see anything, heard his agent said: "Pochettino has laid an excellent foundation. Ronald is the ideal man to build that further. " And that he is not in talks with WBA but that's all I saw on twitter

“We would not consider releasing him unless there was a decent transfer fee and secondly that we were in a position to replace him. If anybody comes along on the last day of the transfer window it’s not going to happen. '

He didn't say a replacement would be in place before Fonte left. We are in a position to replace him because we have time in the window to do so. Will we? Who knows, if we don't I worry that we will struggle for the remainder of the season.

According to Sky sports it's now tomorrow. Get the feeling he is delaying it waiting for someone else to come in.

Lazy journalism. He wanted to leave if Koeman had stayed. 2+2=5.
