You are still ignoring the point. You are incredibly stubborn and a lost cause. There is absolutely no shame in admitting you are wrong. I've been wrong plenty of times. Nobody will pay £45million for Clyne. Say it with me and it will all be ok.

Skip around my point all you want. I don't care whether its a high fee or a low fee. I don't care if he signs for MUFC or Pohang Steelers. The ONLY thing I have said that you are STILL avoiding agreeing with me on is that nobody will pay £45 million for Clyne in this window or the next. I really don't understand why that's so hard to comprehend.

My only point that I stand by (and that I can't believe I'm having to argue) is that £45 million for Clyne is both laughable and unrealistic. That's it. Nothing to do with Falcao. Nothing really to do with Southampton.

You don't need to come to a fellow fan's defence if their point is ridiculous. MUFC fans say silly things all the time, and I call them out on it, as I have done here. Nor do you need to attack MUFC or any of the business they are doing (good or bad) or have done. It is simply my comment as a football fan on another football fan's opinion of a player's value. There is not a club in the world who would in this transfer window pay £45 million for Nathaniel Clyne. If you can't keep the discussion to that and that alone then it's not worth discussing at all.

golac, I feel like you have missed the point. Falcao has absolutely nothing to do with anything I have said. We were discussing Clyne and how he is not worth £45million and how I disagree that MUFC or any club would pay near that amount for him. As you all seem to insist upon pointing at Falcao I'll give you my opinion - Poor bit of business that was high risk/high reward. Unfortunately for us the high reward is yet to come, and may not come at all.

Again as you insist upon talking about our fee for Shaw (despite the fact that we were dicussing Clyne). Shaw cost us so much because he is 18, English and had a lot of time left on his contract, you held all the cards - good business on your part. Regardless it seems you haven't read the thread properly. I agree Clyne would probably cost someone somewhere between £20-25 million this summer, but that's not the fee I'm laughing at. £45 million was the fee suggested by 'saintysaintsaint' and that's what I deem to be entirely unrealistic. Perhaps read the thread before getting so irate you feel the need to pick apart Man United's transfer policy in a failed attempt to irritate me. I have not said a single bad thing about Southampton FC.

It would be embarrassing if we didn't make the Champions league I agree. Still not relevant to Clyne.

I like Southampton, I am pleased you have done so well after losing so many players last year, I simply laughed at the idea that Clyne would be worth £45 million and you all got weirdly upset. Do me a favour, find a non Southampton supporter mate, ask them if anyone will pay that much for Clyne and then get back to me.

There seems to be a misconception that Shaw played poorly last season, it's simply not true. When he played he played well, he just struggled with injury.

Sorry couldn't let this one go - 'Showing the way'?! How arrogant can you get. As if Manchester United/Sunderland/Spurs/Villa/Fulham have glanced over at you and seen your revolutionary way of bringing through youth players. Honest to god it baffles me some of the personic self indulgent delusional tripe I see some of you come up with. To think the 'Class of 92' would never have existed without Southampton's infamous 'Class of 91'.
