Reports are the Vvd has sacked his agent they are saying it's to force a move BUT maybe he's sacked him because he's the one that's been stirring the crap getting him to go on strike and giving piss poor advice.
1.) 27 Aug 2017 14:57:54
This could be the start of a bridge building exercise by VVD if true. "I was advised badly" etc etc.
2.) 28 Aug 2017 11:24:18
Must have been reported on CNN. Definitely fake news.
12 Aug 2017 14:24:38
Does anyone think Vvd will be playing alongside coutinio next season at Barcelona?
10 Aug 2017 20:11:23
I think a suitable solution to the Vvd situation is maybe we should send him out on a seasons loan. I hear those scousers are looking for a cb, it would suit both parties he could get game time and we could offload the money grabber, a player you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy to a team that is our worst enemy.
1.) 10 Aug 2017 21:51:14
Why would we do that?
2.) 10 Aug 2017 23:21:30
I'm a Liverpool fan, yes please 'burden' us with him!
3.) 11 Aug 2017 00:21:47
After all that has gone on between both clubs that would be a wonderful idea.
4.) 11 Aug 2017 05:31:44
Rumours are it will be Everton.
5.) 11 Aug 2017 11:50:27
Everton? Thought he wanted a Big club 😂.
6.) 11 Aug 2017 17:01:08
I don't get why we'd loan him, especially to another PL team. Only reason I can see is if we were offered a very good package which made it financially smart, but unless this happens why wouldn't we just make him train with the kids until his head is on straight. Do people honestly think that after September 1st it would take VVD long to realise his only option is to play and play well?
Loaning him to another PL team is the worst of both worlds surely.
7.) 11 Aug 2017 17:19:58
The VVD saga is the exact same situation as Morgan, he wanted to leave. But we managed to keep him on another season and he went about it in a professional manner and he eventually got his move to Utd. Who is to say that Liverpool will get CL football next year. They haven't been in the CL since they finished second 4 seasons ago now. That's not the best move for him. I'm hoping he sits down with the manager and gets this all sorted out.

Virgil Van Dijk should go to Everton rather than their Merseyside rivals in red. The Ronald Koeman connection and for the way Everton are building, and would certainly fit their very ambitious plans. He also could or should go to Arsenal, Manchester City or perhaps Chelsea. Liverpool desperately need to fix their defence, but I don't think it's the lack of players, it's in my opinion hugely down to Jurgen Klopp's approach/ tactics. Van Dijk could join the Anfield club and they could still leak goals ten-a-penny.
He's been brilliant as a player for the Saints. We took him from Celtic and made him an even better player, so I don't mind him making another step forward. Just hoping, due to the poaching reports, LFC would have to pay bigger bucks to get him. Circa £100m
Oh, how I laughed when Klopp's army (such as some of the comments Micky Quinn said on Talk Sport) began moaning because of Barcelona trying to steal their Phil Coutinho. It's alright for them to take VVD from (little) Southampton but still expect the Brazilian wonder to stay when mighty Barcelona come calling. Proves the proverb; The big fish eats the little fish.
If/ when Van Dijk does leave the club, I'd like to replace him with someone like Ben Gibson (again, I think we've been loosely linked with him recently) or perhaps we are already there with (reaches for that dictionary. ) the new Polish lad, Stephens (Stephens for England! ), Yoshida (amazed how much he improved last season and started to look like he belonged at this level. I like him! ) and this season's "one to watch" (according to something I read somewhere this week) Alfie Jones. Plus, don't forget of course we still have Florin Gardos too.
All's good. We're in the Premier League and looking bright.
05 aug 2017 17:47:42
talk about lazy journalism the daily star has reported as fact that vvd is having talks with chelsea and liverpool as their source is (wait for it drumroll ) a blogger on a liverpool social media site. must be true then.
04 Aug 2017 20:28:46
Isn't it bliss the silence coming from all the scousers with the press talking about Vvd going to chelsea lol. I don't think we should sell him to anyone to be honest well maybe loan him to tranmere rovers for five seasons.
Those scousers must hate it a bigger club than the mighty is not living off past glories Liverpool are actually going to put an ACTUAL bid in for the money grubbing twat.

Can we sack Vvd but still hold on to his registration? that way we can keep the money grubbing coot in limbo.
1.) 03 Aug 2017 17:00:47
Why don't we just loan him to liverpool. See how they like that :)
2.) 04 Aug 2017 08:02:02
Loan him to Everton - even better.
3.) 05 Aug 2017 23:17:38
Liverpool fan here, I agree the way our club has acted is wrong, although we aren't the only ones doing it it's not right but I don't understand why there is 'let him rot' talk when In reality he is one of, if not your best player and without him you would struggle, keeping a player is great and should be something more clubs do but fans really don't understand their own club if they think you can let your best players just rot and it's as simple as that, I still think he'll end out a red but I admire southamptons stance, quite honestly I'm not too bothered about missing out on him for the money discussed on here anyway, rather have ake for 20 million. Goodluck this season.
31 Jul 2017 20:16:20
Isn't it amazing klippity klop is adamant coutinio is not for sale at any price and that final BUT it's not quite the same when we say Vvd is not for sale.
1.) 01 Aug 2017 12:09:38
You should know by now that nothing is for sale in Liverpool!
If you want something they usually just steal it!
25 Jul 2017 16:13:16
I've just been on the Liverpool romours site they are so delusional moaning about Barcelona trying to buy coutinio saying they must stop selling their best players so they can challenge for honours. Wow, isn't that what we've been saying maybe they should practice what they preach.
18 Jul 2017 23:04:52
Why do saints always leave it till the end of the windows before they buy (if they actually do) instead of getting them in and bedded in so they can hit the ground running when the season starts for a change. We have an opportunity to get some points on on the board with some winnable games so get it done and let's have an actual team this year.
1.) 19 Jul 2017 08:28:45
Whi says we have any more business to do if we keep everyone else this season.
2.) 19 Jul 2017 10:04:12
We've got at least 2 players of decent quality in every position, so unless we sell what's the point in buying?
3.) 19 Jul 2017 13:41:02
That Souey is at it now about breaking the bank for VVD.
It's every high profile ex Liverpool player and pundit wading in trying to wind us up. He thinks just because we got form for selling our best players in the past that we will do so now. They are desperate now as the Keita pursuit looks to be dead in the water and they have no other options. The board look to be taking a stance though fingers crossed.
4.) 19 Jul 2017 17:30:42
Hey milky Saint do you actually think that our squad doesn't need improving did you watch ANY games last season we could have 50 players for each position but if they play like last season god help us. We only finished where we did because the teams below us were even worse than us.
5.) 19 Jul 2017 23:01:06
Exactly. the way we played was down to the manager and the style he wanted. he's gone, we've got a better manager closer to our style. we've got a better squad than we used to have so we should play better and finish higher.
26 Jun 2017 00:27:09
Just been looking on the Liverpool romours site they are all saying Vvd isn't worth 70 million and isn't that good anyway, lol. one even said they should have signed fonte as he made love and virgil look good. Unbelievable ain't they fickle lol.
1.) 26 Jun 2017 07:15:40
He will go to Liverpool and they will pay the money.
07 Aug 2017 19:11:32
Yeah but they just handed saints an extra £7,000,000 by handing in an OFFICIAL transfer request and giving up his ( joke ) loyalty bonus so good riddance to bad rubbish keep him till Xmas then dump him for as much as we can get.
30 Jul 2017 15:44:25
It goes on BECAUSE they haven't said anything they get their ex players and tame press to do all their dirty work that way they can hold their hands up and say "it's not us guv " but it is an orchestrated campaign by the club itself to unsettle and get him on the cheap.
I hope the board stand firm and don't sell his price will only go up when we do decide to sell and besides he owes us over 2 million pounds in sick pay for the last 7 months.
24 Jul 2017 20:12:28
That's how they do business through rumours and half truths and outright lies it's all designed to unsettle players and drive the price down because the player is already committed to them in his head they get them to say they want to leave without actually putting in a official request so they don't miss out on thier loyalty bonus ( that's a joke ) the PL Is a joke they are gutless and toothless they protect the so called big clubs forgetting that there are 22 bulbs in the premier league not just SIX.
07 jul 2017 12:19:22
70 million is a lot of money yes but not when you take off agents fees players loyalty bonus ( that's a laugh when they engineer a move without actually putting in an official request ) then the price of the replacement goes up because we've supposedly got all that money.
i would like to see what we can do if we can hold (and improve) a team together we are always on the verge of something big, let go for it.
the other point is yes we are a business and a profitable one and that is all downs to the liebermans but the point is we are in profit so why sell especially to lander group who are not a profitable company and aren't going to bring anything to the party.
186 million profit on a 14 million buy is a great deal but to markus saints were more than just a profit and loss mark on a piece of paper he cared about our club just like we do.
even that mug from disney held a meeting with the slime from down the road to explain what he wanted to do with the mike mouse club i'd like lander group to do the same we want to know what's going on.
05 Jul 2017 12:29:32
Yes I believe that's the way they plan to buy out KL so she who loves the club flies off to Switzerland with 200 million pounds and saints suddenly owe 200 million pounds and lander group get a cash cow for basically nothing. How does that benefit us there is no cash investment to buy players or pay more wages to keep our best and be able to move on to the next level we all hope we can achieve. They are interested in us now when we are getting 120 million from the PL but how interested would be if that dried up.
21 Aug 2017 12:23:51
I thought this season there is supposed to be a panel to look at bad tackles even after the game and have the power to ban the offender because noble needs to be arrested for a tackle like that if not at least a ban.
02 Aug 2017 22:55:24
Well said ed I couldn't have said it better myself. Even when they've been caught and supposedly apologised they carry on a orchestrated campain through ex players and friendly press but it is all part of the same club campaign to unsettle players but refuse to accept offers when their player want to leave.
24 Jul 2017 20:24:13
Your wrong crisis talking about these top players coming here as a stepping stone did you know about mane before he came here or wanyama or lovers or Clyne the list goes on that's without our homegrown talent so maybe we did have a hand in their improvement and deserve a bit of loyalty and credit so no we don't buy brilliant players that miraculously bigger clubs missed.
23 Jul 2017 18:20:45
It doesn't matter what wages we pay if a player signs a contract he should honour it at those wages or why do we have contracts at all.
23 Jul 2017 11:33:10
Saints can't compete with Man United or Liverpool BECAUSE anytime a club like Southampton look like they are going to break the monopoly that they have going they poach and scheme to break up teams that threaten them so it's about time we took a stand and stood up for ourselves.
