Hi Eds,
is there any news about Dennis Praet from Anderlecht? I read that we are interested again and an offer of 7,5 Million Pounds by Sevilla has been rejected.
Would be a great prospect in my opinion.

Any truth in our £8 million bid for VVD? Would be a great signing and a strong addition to the squad.

anything new on our interest in Dennis Praet from Anderlecht?
{Ed002's Note - Interest in Anderlecht's Dennis Praet remains from Ajax, Everton, Southampton, Hoffenheim, Aston Villa and Dynamo Moscow. Sevilla and Valencia have had bids rejected. Aston Villa are being kept informed by Anderlecht of any approaches for the player and I suspect they might be first to put an acceptable offer on the table. Previous interest from others, such as Arsenal and Liverpool, has drifted away although Juventus may return if they are unable to secure other midfield targets.}

They didn't sell Draxler, but I agree that it's very, very unlikely that they would sell Goretzka this summer. And even if I really doubt Saints would have a chance of getting him.

I don't think there is any chance Goretzka will be leaving Schalke this summer. He still has a contract until 2018 and had many problems with injuries last season. I assume he wants to have a season without severe injuries to progress before he leaves Schalke. And if he develops the way he is expected to, his won't be Saints but rather clubs like Bayern Munich, Chelsea and so on.
So anyway; great player but I don't see any chance for him heading to Saints. We should rather look at prospects like Praet who's in my opinion much more likely to come to Southampton.

Feyenoord have just signed van der Hejden who is a CB. Maybe an indicator for van Beek/Kongolo heading to Southampton?
