Lemina off to Galatasaray. I actually hope that he stays there.

I hope all of these loans (with an option to buy) turn into actual sales. It's a joke, we've got £80m worth of players out on loan. The recruitment the past few seasons has been poor. Apart from FF, the other 3 players have barely served the club. Carillo has played like 5 games for us and we've loaned him out on the final year of his contract.

Oh well, onwards and upwards. Ralph's got rid of all the dead weight around the camp, watching the game against United on Saturday we were superb on the press, we'll be a hard team to play against this season.

2.) 05 Sep 2019 11:09:30
Basically we totally wasted the VVD money then!

3.) 06 Sep 2019 20:18:56
If you check Transfermarkt, you'll find that Carrillo's contract runs out 30th of June 2021. If they don't buy him next summer, his contract is likely to be terminated like Clasie's. Must be the worst transfer ever!

Apparently Everton considering an offer for Lemina.

1.) 03 Aug 2019 03:13:11
Everton have signed a DM, I don't believe any of these Lemina rumours. If he does go I think it'll be a cheap sale or loan to a European team after our deadline.

Hi eds. Do you know if there's any truth in the " Lemina to Man Utd " rumour?

teejaysaint

{Ed002's Note - Not as far as I am aware.}

1.) 10 Jul 2019 10:19:38
Thanks Ed002. Seemed a bit far fetched to me but nothing surprises me these days.

2.) 10 Jul 2019 10:19:38
Thanks Ed002. Seemed a bit far fetched to me but nothing surprises me these days.

{Ed002's Note - I am only aware of one approach and that was from Atalanta who would like a loan to buy.}

3.) 10 Jul 2019 15:13:51
I don't think that Saints would sanction that type of deal as we would want to have the cash to purchase our own signings/ replacement. We also have too many out on loan who are unlikely to be brought back into the squad that we need to sell on.

4.) 15 Jul 2019 19:42:51
I think loaning Lemina out would be different to someone like Hoedt or Clasie though. He's unquestionably talented, and it could be a good financial move.

I could easily seeing him excelling somewhere like Atalanta and suddenly we're sitting on a £30-40m player.

5.) 15 Jul 2019 22:00:48
I see your point Saints 123 but what if he has another poor season? He then becomes another player that we can't sell because we have a £15m player that we would only get offers of £5-£6m for. If he's adamant that he doesn't want to be with us I would much rather take a £15m offer now and move on.

10 May 2019 16:28:43
Reports circulating that we're looking to bring in Mitrovic from Fulham for £30M. I think he could do well for us but I wouldn't want to pay that much for him.

teejaysaint

1.) 10 May 2019 21:09:19
Him and Danny would be a great pair. Also make us less of a ‘nice team’. He certainly has the ability to do well for us. £20m and I’d think about it but even then it’s pretty pricey for a forward who’s been relegated and only scored a dozen goals this season.

2.) 11 May 2019 20:45:37
I agree that the price seems a little steep but he was bought for £22-27M last season and has been very good in the PL. 11 goals and 3 assists for a 19th placed team is excellent. He also sounds a bit more realistic than Augustin.

3.) 12 May 2019 10:23:38
I think this would be a good buy. I've thought we could use a decent target man for a while. My concern with him was whether he suits Hassenhutl's style, which seems a lot more based on speed and stamina. So I didn't think we'd go for him, but if we do sign him I'll be happy since he's young, has an eye for goal, a bit of an edge to him and if we sign him, RH obviously thinks he fits his style.

With him as a target man with Redmond and another quick signing - Augustin, Lookman, etc - either side I think we'd look very dangerous.

4.) 12 May 2019 20:42:04
Think you are right on cost and that he'll be cheaper than Augustin, but Ralph seems to play 2 up top. So Danny to play along side with Redmond to replace Danny when injured, otherwise play supporting. Loosen is a good shout.

30 Jan 2019 00:17:26
According to the Sun we are talking to Olympiakos about Omar Elabdellaoui. Don't know much about him but RH must know him.

1.) 30 Jan 2019 06:31:58
Seeing that Genk do not want to let Maehle go until the end of the season as not to disrupt their title challenge, this could be a stop gap signing, maybe a loan until the end of the season? He was on loan at Hull during their relegated season admittedly during the January window, which coincidentally coincided with their brief upturn in form at the time. Other than that haven't heard much of him other than his defending is often suspect.

2.) 30 Jan 2019 15:39:08
Just what we need then Vick, another suspect defender 🤔.

3.) 31 Jan 2019 13:30:45
He is a Norwegian international right back, who I think it fair to say has not fulfilled his potential to date. however, his style of play would seem to fit the hassenhutle blueprint and perhaps one that ralph could get the best from. …. certainly good cover and competition for valer the two of them could bring out the best in other. …. incidently I thought Valery took a step up in performance against palace last night.

4.) 31 Jan 2019 17:36:17
Loads of out goings nothing coming in bit of a anti climax window but we’re playing well so that’s all we can ask for
We have a few loans that will return in the summer and I think Ralph will get the best out of them
Our team now will be fitter and more switched on to his style so who ever comes back will hopefully just fit in.

5.) 31 Jan 2019 20:49:42
Can’t see anything doing now.
Disappointed that we didn’t end up bringing anyone in but to get rid of Hoedt, Davis, Cedric and Gabbiadini is still good business - considering only Forster and Austin would have been the other deadwood it’s a success in terms of outgoings.
Moving Cedric on without signing a replacement is my only cause for minor concern. I feel like we’re set well for the summer and I trust that Ralph will have plans to move early in June.
If Boufal and Carrillo are moved on I’d be wishing for a ST, AM, CB and RB, part-funded by selling Lemina.

Love to see us kick off the new season with a win today. Our recent record against Burnley isn't great but we could have got a much harder first match. I hope that Ralph sends them out with the instructions of go for it. Get some points on the board early doors and confidence soars. Don't want to be scrapping for points over the last 10 or 12 games again. Need to be fighting for a top 8 place at the end of the season.

1.) 10 Aug 2019 17:23:48
Well that didn't work did it. We were absolute pants second half. Really can't understand Ralph starting with Stephens at the back. Made too many mistakes last season and looked very nervous from the outset. Nobody at the back standing up and being a leader. Not the start that we needed and some hard games coming up so not expecting too many points over Aug/ Sept.

2.) 10 Aug 2019 22:34:40
Flip side is we get some bad games out the way early-ish.

3.) 10 Aug 2019 23:37:16
Same old bollox.

4.) 11 Aug 2019 07:19:18
After watching the game same individual errors by the same players as last year our defending once again was absolutely shocking wtf do they train all week
They’ve had the whole summer to improve and we’re still seeing these school boy errors
Vestergaards decision making and positioning is laughable.

5.) 11 Aug 2019 12:27:38
I feel like Ralph needs to bite the bullet and play a 4-2-2. His style of play didn't really suit us yesterday. Our defence is too high as we're trying to press so the ball over the top will beat us all day long. We're exposed in midfield.
He talks about our defence not being able to defend one on one, but how often will we be exposed like this.

It's only a minor setback, but a 3-0 loss to a team we should be matching in the league is very disappointing.

Just let RH do the job that he was brought in for. He can only work with what he has so we have to give him time.

I agree re. Danny Rohl being the tactician. Seems like RH was just the middle man passing on Rohl's instructions. I think that something has to change over the next 2 weeks otherwise we'll be so far adrift by Christmas there will be no coming back. I'm already looking at championship grounds to visit next season.

I really wanted to give Ralph a chance but it looks as if he's out of his depth. He seems to have lost the respect of the players and you can see during matches that his body language is totally different to what it was at the end of last season/ first couple of matches of this season. I think that we need a change sooner rather than later as we're already looking like we've accepted relegation.

I agree diggy. Absolutely pathetic display again today. Seems like RH has lost the plot. Playing players out of position when it's already been shown that it doesn't work . JWP gives the team nothing so why keep playing him? Romeu is just too slow and defenders unable to defend. Ings is the only player who seems to be giving 100%. I'm actually feeling for him at the moment.

And who's going to pay for those 8/ 9 players. Can't see RH getting much of a transfer fund in January and certainly not enough to buy the amount of players that you're proposing St John.

I think that RH has realised that the players he has are not good enough to play his preferred 4 2 2 2 pressing game. The players that he has to pick from are too slow and not skillful enough so he's just trying anything to see if they stumble on a workable system. Really fear for our premiership survival without massive investment.
