Seen we have been linked with illaremendi, think if that's true he would be a quality signing for us! What do you think?

If it comes down to a choice, he won't be coming to Saints.

Despite what Koeman has been saying, we are still after another midfielder on loan if the club decide to send out Harrison Reed to the Championship for the season.
Obviously illaramendi has been linked in the press today, probably nothing to it, but there is still potential for activity after VVD has signed, which is expected to be done by Friday.

A few days ago we were linked with Rafa Silva from Real Madrid. It's just the media trying to create stories where there aren't any. I'd prefer Rafa Silva though, from what I saw of him when he did actually play for Real Madrid he looked pretty good.

Last thing I've read about it. Possibly crap but. "Saints have agreed the deal with both the Lisbon club and the player after outbidding Premier League rivals Stoke City for the defender. The latest update I'd seen around the net we had bid £5 million for Cedric, and we were in the stages of negotiating a deal with his agent.
Another notable bid we've allegedly made and had rejected is for Sevilla's Grzegorz Krychowiak with an offer for £9 million, although they are after a bid closer to £20 million it seems.
Interestingly in terms of strikers, we are mainly being linked with Austin, Bas Dost and Stefano Okaka. Both Austin and Bas Dost are currently odds on to join Newcastle although we aren't far behind. Still that's purely speculative, we may end up with someone entirely different or no new striker at all.
Hopefully we may push our first deal of the summer over the line by the end of next week.

Grzegorz Krychowiak seems a non-starter to me. He'd be a like-for-like for Schneiderlin and Arsenal have been after him for ages. If he were available at a price Saints could afford, then Arsenal (or someone of similar standing) would sign him rather than fork out £25m+ for Schneiderlin.
In any case, he's not going to swap a Champions League club for Saints.

{Ed001's Note - last I heard QPR were trying to convince Austin to give them a chance to get straight back up. England will tell him he needs to be in the Prem to stay in the squad though, so I expect some movement over the next couple of weeks on him.}

Ed do you have any idea why austin is valued at 10mil and long was 11mil?
{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't worry about it mate, values come from hundreds of different variables, Austin has only just come out of non league, that reduces his value until he has proven himself over a period of time. Long, on the other hand, had been in the Prem for a while.}

Under poch we played the best football in the league he may be a traitor but at least we weren't hoofing it up the pitch, we are playing relegation standard football, not saying we'll get relegated, but it's not right to be goofing it against a team with much less quality then our own
