With all the new forwards and the strength of our youth signings is Shane Long another one to be sold?

I'm not so sure St Steve, I think he suits Ralph's style of play and still has good pace, think he is a good option from the bench.

They'll let him see out his contract think he has a year or two left. His sell on value won't be high. He's no prolific but his work rate and small runs can be crucial in some games for breaking down defences.

Don't think he'll go, we'll be playing 4-2-2-2 with Adams and Ings as our main 2. Long will be a sub, his ball chasing and energy is a great asset to have on the bench. But I think if either player gets injured than RH will favour Obfemi over Long.

Sorry to read Charlie Austin has rejected a move to WBA when the. Clubs had agreed a fee because he wants Premiership football (or watching it from the stands) on a nice income to boot. This result will maybe delay the next signing. Doesn’t CA realise he would have been in the Championship next season anyway if Ralph hadn’t stepped in and saved them. I suppose along with FF it’s a cosy existence on those wages for just training and keeping fit (both being 3rd/ 4th choices at present) . I truly hope ambition prevails for them both very soon. Keep On Marching.

Probably the fact that he would rather remain close to the south coast rather than play in the Midlands too. his parents still live locally. he also has a family, Mrs etc. I doubt it's to do with playing premier league, necessarily. if a championship club from London offered to sign him and paid the same wage he would probably go.

I don't think anyone is really surprised by Austin's childish outburst, he clearly doesn't feel that football orientated if he turns down a move to a half decent championship club (West Brom) where he would probably be a good addition. He is getting older so needs to realise that, unless he is a 20-30 goal a season striker - which we all know he ain't, never rekindled the QPR form - then his chances will be limited. I think the only good thing he did all last season was get the winner against Arsenal. His and Lemina's attitude stinks so let em rot training with the kids, they'll soon get tired and moan they want to move on. I think they should wait for a decent offer for Lemina and send hi merrily on his way and pay off Austin just to get rid.

Kanu's nowhere near the quality of Austin. If Austin is started week in week out he'll net 15+.
