Not been many rumours that I've heard recently, found it kind of boring aha, anyone got any?

1.) Danny welbeck told he can leave united.

Must be grinding a deal for a player. Rumours have gone quiet before now just before we've signed some one.

3.) Not seen much, just that Newcastle have joined race for Van Dijk and that we were never interested in Alvarez. Samaras has joined west brom, wonder will he play on Saturday?

4.) Arsenal want Big Vic! OK let's swap him for Callum Chambers plus The Ox!

jack stephens is going to play a part this season. he can also play RB. wanyama won't be going anywhere but arsenal have enquired as to his availabilty, they have been in for a holding midfielder for a while. hull are trying to sign wellbeck with the 12m they got for long. Koeman is very keen on signing andros townsend but we need to pay a fee closer to 15m than 10m.

8.) Whole market has gone quite, not just saints. something will happen soon.

9.) As Big Vic came from a CL club, maybe he won't have that clause in his contract, unlike Chambers - but at least CC has a 40% sell on in his contract same as the Ox.

10.) Reading between the lines of what koeman said ( boruc understands the situation, with one year left on his contract we are looking at building a team for the future), that maybe he was offered a new contract that he wasn't happy with, so we brought in an early replacement.

anyone have a confirmed set of tv listings for southampton games? also seeing a lot that we've bid 4.2m for Sam Byram and he's very close to completion, anyone know anything on that?

1.) Thought the bid for Byram was a while back, and rejected out of hand. Haven't heard of Saints going back.

Sunderland are in for him, supposedly at around £8-9m.

If we don't sign a RB this summer, has anyone else considered Stephens being Clyne's understudy? With Gonzales being a cover for injuries for both RW and RB, which hopefully means a winger will come soon, hopefully Biabiany over Townsend but either is good imo (Correct me if anyone knows about this or has anything else confirmed etc. )

1.) I think McCarthy is better suited to right back having seen him play quite well in that position in pre season.

2.) Koeman prefers Stephens in MF, McCarthy is supposed to be rated higher than Chambers (similar thing to Targett and Shaw) reckon he'll be who we use as backup this season
